May need a checkup

I think I need a checkup - I can’t run for more than 5 min at a stretch - so I run for 5 min, walk for 5 min, again run for 5 min and so on - maybe I need to see if my heart is alright - an ecg to make sure thats the guy (my heart not the other one.. lol) is working well. My cholesterol levels are way too high and I am having medication for it.

An additional setup for my business

If I start my own business (which I will - if everything goes accordingly to plan), I would like to have some kind of telephone answering services so that no call is left unattended. This is a must for most business. You never know which call is going to get the big break that you look out for. I don’t want to regret that I missed a certain call at a certain time..

Thrissur Pooram 2012

This year’s Thrissur Pooram had its ups and downs… The good thing is that - it didn’t rain. The bad thing - an elephant went berserk.

We started from our home in the morning a bit late. All four of us - me, my cousin Adarsh, my friends Amal and Aneesh were awake upto wee hours of the morning - praying to rain gods for not to rain. The morning I went to jog and there was a bit of drops falling by.

Anyways we went to town to see the cheru (small) poorams. We parked our bikes at Amal’s Office and we walked from there. On the way we met Lingson - an old collegue of mine who was going back home after his night shift. He was telling us there was enough police to beat the heck out of a few thousand people… lol.. We enjoyed the melams of Cheru poorams and as usual Aneesh and Amal were clicking off with their cameras.. I will try to get hold of their photos later..

Then we went to see the madathil varavu of Thrivambadi - the pancha vadyam was good. Till now it was cloudy but then the sun was finally breaking through the clouds. We were exhausted - we were sweating like anything - but after having a glass of medicated water from the volunteers really calmed us down.. (I have to say that the volunteers and police are doing a great job). After that we went to see Paramekkavu side - on the way we went with Bejoy sir and family and with Muthu. There was a small sample of Kudamattam and we got glimpse of what was to come.. Then we went home.

All of were too weak to go back to see and hear the Elanjithara melam - so we switched on the TV’s - there was live broadcast on almost all malayalam channels. After a few minutes I was sleeping. But we (except Aneesh who was too tired) got up back to the town to see the awesome Kudamattam. It was crowded - in where we were standing - I It was a great sight - there was a lot of new varieties this year including those having LED lights.

Then we went home - again tired…

There was a couple of visitors who had come to see the Pooram - my mom’s cousin from Ottapalam

Went to Thrissur Pooram Exhibition

I went to Thrissur Pooram Exhibition on 27th April 2012 with my mother. We went on our bike and didn’t take any umbrella’s - since we didn’t see any signs of rain (lol.. big mistake!!).. The entrance fee is only Rs.5 for each person. This will increase to Rs.10 during the days of Thrissur Pooram.

By the time we were going through the stalls, rain had already started. We made some small purchases - I bought a steam vapouriser, my mom bought a small handbag.

Sooraj’s Sisters Engagement

Last Sunday was my friend and former colleague - Sooraj O.S’s sister’s engagement. Sooraj is currently working in Accel, Edappal.

Me and Ajeesh (former EBD of Accel Thrissur) went to the function. Since there were some FDP’s being conducted in Accel Kochi, none of the staff from Accel were present..
